「綺麗ですね」と言われるよりも、
「なんだか好き」と思ってもらえるものを作りたい。
その気持ちが、isagoのものづくりの根っこにあります。

私はいつも、「美しさとは何か」を問いながら手を動かしています。
目立つための美しさではなく

美しさは、人によってかたちが違います。
光沢のあるもの、鮮やかな色、細かな装飾――
そうした華やかさを「美しい」と感じる瞬間も、もちろんある。

でもisagoで目指しているのは、
そうした“目立つ”美しさとは、少し違う方向にあります。

「調和する」という美意識

Tシャツやデニムのような、日常的な装いに寄り添えるもの。
その中に、ほんの少しの緊張感や品のようなものが宿っている状態。
私はそういう“調和した美しさ”に強く惹かれます。

華やかに主張するのではなく、
着る人・素材・空間とのバランスを保ちながら、
全体の印象をそっと整えてくれるような存在。

それは控えめで、でも確かに“そこにある”もの。
静かで、でも見逃せない。
そんな美しさです。

線と形に込める、美しさの追求

私はいつも「曲線の流れ」をとても大切にしています。
コードがたわみ、重なり、カーブを描く――その軌跡が、作品の印象を決めるからです。
たった1mmのずれでも、線の緊張感や空気が変わってしまう。
だからこそ、細部まで目を凝らし、糸の張力と角度を丁寧に調整します。

「縫われた軌跡」そのものが美しくあること。
それは見た目のためだけではなく、作品全体が静かに放つ気配や品の根拠になると信じています。

「見えない部分」こそ、つくり手の誠実さが宿る

たとえば、コードの始点や終点、裏側の処理。
完成すればほとんど見えなくなる場所にも、私は手を抜きたくありません。
裏側が整っていると、自分の中で「この作品は完成した」と思えるのです。

誰にも見られないかもしれない場所に、
手を抜かない。整える。美しさを宿す。
その積み重ねが、全体の空気感や佇まいにつながっていくと思うのです。

“自分にとっての美しさ”を、信じて積み重ねる

isagoの作品は、いつも少しずつ形を変えながら進化しています。
同じ素材でも、光の具合や色の重ね方で印象が変わる。
正解があるわけではないからこそ、毎回手探りです。

でも、「これだ」と思える瞬間は、確かにあって。
それが、自分のなかにある“美しさ”の感覚なのだと思います。

誰かにとっても、同じように「なんだか、いいな」と感じてもらえたら。
その共鳴が、isagoにとっていちばん嬉しいことです。

最後に

美しさは、派手さではありません。
ましてや、他の何かに勝つものでもありません。
ただ静かに、手の中で灯るようなもの。

Glossy surfaces, vivid colors, intricate decoration—
there are certainly moments when such brilliance feels beautiful.

But the kind of beauty I pursue at isago
leans in a slightly different direction—
not toward standing out, but toward subtle resonance.

A Sense of Harmony

I’m drawn to a kind of beauty that blends into daily life—
accessories that go with something as casual as a T-shirt or a pair of jeans,
yet still carry a quiet sense of tension, elegance, and depth.

Rather than shouting for attention,
I want my pieces to gently support the balance
between the person wearing them, the clothing, and the space around them.

They don’t scream “look at me,”
but they can’t quite be overlooked either.
They are quiet—but unmistakably present.

I place deep importance on the curves and flow of each piece.
Where the cord starts, where it overlaps, where it bends—
even a single millimeter can change the sense of tension and rhythm.

Every curve is carefully calculated,
every stitch adjusted with precision,
so that the lines feel alive, not forced.

The stitched path itself must be beautiful.
Not just to look at, but because it affects
the quiet dignity the piece carries as a whole.

Beauty in the Unseen

The unseen parts of a piece often say the most about the maker.
Where the cords begin and end, the structure on the back—
these are areas most people will never notice.

But to me, the piece isn’t truly complete
